Feel Good

With the Holiday season here its a great time to go see a flick. There are alot of great ones out but there is one I would TOTALLY recommend you to go see.

The Blind Side is a story about Michael Oher, who had a rough childhood past but with the loving care of a women (Sandra Bullock) and her family you see Michael's journey and how he became an NFL star.

So if you can't decide what new movie to see, The Blind Side is an amazing pick.

Baby Love

The Duggars are now a group of 19!

Michelle Duggar was rushed to the hospital last night for an emergency C-section while healing at home from gallstone problems.

Coming in at 1lb, 6oz teeny tiny Josie Brooklyn was born at 6:30pm at University of Arkansas Medical Sciences. Little JBD is in stable condition and doing swell.

Will this be Michelle and Jim Bob's last baby? Or will they try and go for 20?

There has been talk that the next move for the diva Beyonce is to VEGAS! She has supposedly signed a long term deal at The Wynn Hotel.

No word yet when the shows are planned to begin but there is buzz that Ba-nay-nay will be racking in $750,000 per show!!!

Big Screen?

There has been BUZZ around town that the HBO hit Entourage will be made into a movie!

Executive Producer Mark Wahlberg says that he wants to finish the series before he moves on to the big screen, but there is a possibility that a movie will be made in the future.

I personally feel that the movie will make a HUGE success! They should take Sex and the City as a role model and move to the big screen!

Upset that The Hills is over and need a new reality show to take its place? Wait no longer! Premiering tonight on the 10 spot is MTV's Jersey Shore.

Full of hair gel, tanned skinned and tight clothes these Guidos and Guidettes are holding nothing back. The cameras will capture these pop collared, spiked hair crew hanging out at the beach and spending hours getting that perfect hair for a night out.

Personally, I think I will enjoy watching yet again another MTV addicted but so stupid reality show.

We did it!

Another season of The Hills will come to an end tonight at 10pm on MTV yet again. And they made it without LC.

This season seemed to be the most scripted one yet, but I still find myself tuning in EVERY week.

I personally hope on tonight's episode there is not talk about Heidi wanting a baby, Justin Bobby and Kristin DO NOT become an item again, and Brody breaks up with Jayde.

Will there be another season? Will anyone join LC and leave the cast? What do you think?

The 1984 Classic Karate Kid is going to be remade with Will Smith's youngest son Jaden as the main star!

Jaden will be along side legend Jackie Chan, as he punches, kicks and chops his way to the big screen.

Young Jaden trained everyday for four months to master the moves. The movie will be out in theatres on June 11, 2010.

GAGA the busy bee is coming out with hit after hit and even has sexy fans like KK and JW who dress up like her at her concerts!

GaGa is EVERYWHERE! And there is no stopping her. Just in the last few weeks she guest starred on Gossip Girl, Performed on Ellen today and will hit the stage for her Toronto Concert tomorrow evening.

On yesterday’s episode of The Oprah Show, Oprah broke the big news to everyone….
She is RETIRING!

Oprah explained to her audience that she has been doing The Oprah Winfrey show for 25 years, and it feels to be the right time to close the curtain. This announcement has made the media outlets BUZZ and start gossip that even though Oprah’s show will be no longer; it does not mean we won’t see anymore of Oprah.

The show will leave the air in September of 2011, but Oprah has guaranteed season 25 to be better than the rest!

Personally I LOVE watching Oprah, and will be sad when my 4pm time slot will be vacant.

The End

Imagine how different your everyday activities would be without the use of technology. You would not be able to Skype your friend to let her know all about your trip to Australia. You would not be able to “Google” where the closest post office is to your house. We live in an ever changing society where something new is always being replaced by the something bigger, faster, and better. This concept of new media is greatly outlined in The End series. Podcasts instead of radio, YouTube instead of TV, and blogs instead of mainstream media is a clear example of this shift of bigger and better technology.

In the world of radio we are moving towards the online podcast to retrieve our information. The End of Radio points out that the podcast is so popular because its radio on demand. People can rewind, pause and stop the podcast they are listening to, where as in radio this is not possible.
In the world of TV people can use PVRs or YouTube instead of watching their 30 minute sitcom with commercials. I feel the in the world of TV moving to the web, advertising will have to become smarter since now as consumers we have the power to rewind through the ads and just watch the content.

I feel what The End is trying to express, is that we now live in a world where old technologies are becoming obsolete. One of the biggest reasons is the design constraints of a specific technology. If we think about all the different kinds of constraints which could affect how our technology is being used, it is almost impossible to make something which works with no problems. This is what leads us to improve our technology such as TV, Print and Media and move into the world of podcasts and bloggers.

The answer everyone wants to know is what is going to happen next? The End series helped us to understand the many new inventions of TV, Radio and Print. But what will happen next…. Only time will tell.

Diddy he really turn 40?

P Diddy who turned the big 4-0 on November 4, is throwing his big bash fashionably late TONIGHT.

The mogul, who is known for throwing extravagant parties will be renting out the Plaza Hotel’s Grand Ballroom and has hired Hollywood event planner Bronson Van Wyck to arrange the "fantasy dreamland" themed celebration.

Some of the Celeb Guest List includes: Queen Latifah, Russell Simmons and Zac Posen.

The date is set for ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8’ series FINALE…tear:(.

The Final episode which is set to be airing on November 23, will be the last time to watch The Gosselin family. Both Jon and Kate are suppose to be appearing on the episode and sharing with viewers their future plans.

The new season of ‘Kate Plus 8’ doesn’t look like it will work out in the end with all the Jon and Kate DRAMA!

Both new and old footage will be shown on the finale night to remind us of how life USE to be for the Gosselin Gang.

BOOted off

Thanks to my BFFAE Kender I’ve become addicted with this season of ‘The Biggest Loser’.

For those of you who live under a rock, it’s a reality show about over-weight people who live on a ranch and compete to lose the most weight.

Just this past week, Shay got voted off and was sent home. As I was watching the contestants vote, I was shocked to see that they were voting off someone who still weighed 380 pounds compared to 195 pound Amanda who was well on her way to her goal weight(aka she bothers me).

Of course I will still watch the show and recommended you tune in too! But I really hope people who REALLY need the help get the chance to stay on the ranch.

Hosted by the bleach blonde spiky hair man himself Guy Fieri, Triple D is a fantastic show where Guy travels across all over America looking out for the BEST DINER GRUB!

Whether it is a scrumptious burger or mouth-watering bacon and eggs, this show goes behide the scenes of all of the diners featured on the show and goes into the kitchen and shows how their best sellers are made.

Lucky for Guy he gets to TASTE test ALL dishes shown on the show!

Happy GaGa-ween!

My favorite part of Halloween is DRESSING up duh! It was so great to see all the wild and creative costumes.

But I would have to say the most popular costume for 09’ was Lady GaGa (must have saw 100). Even Perez Hilton himself showed his poker face.

ALSO, another major theme which Perez followed was men dressing up as women. I saw SO many guys with stuffed bras, and mini-skirts.

Jay Z and Alicia Keys performed their hit Empire State of Mind last night in NY at the kick off to game two of the World Series.

These two did a fab job and even had Mr. Jeter rockin’ along.

For Jay Z it was a busy night…. Right after his performance he flew here to London and performed in concert at the John Labatt Centre.

Reality Check

MTV is at again with a new reality show on the market. (and no its not Laguna Beach.. tear)

Peak Season is MTV’s next true-life series which will follow a group of young hotties who are working and living at a resort in beautiful Whistler. The season will be full of DRAMA!

The first few episodes have already aired and since I’m a HUGE reality TV junky, I’m already hooked to the show.

If you liked Laguna you’ll love this… same thing but with snow. Give it a look....

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes matching tattoos?

Khloe and Lamar hit up a tattoo parlor on Saturday night and thought it would be a GREAT idea to get TATTOOS of each other's initials on their hands.

Personally, I think it’s the WORST idea since tattoos are permanent. What happens if they split up?

Even if I was in love with someone, getting for example ‘BO’ tattooed to my hand, would NEVER happen.

Oprah’s Kick off Dance Party

On Thursday's Kick-off to Season 24 Party, 20,000 of Oprah’s fans came together with the Black Eyed Peas(BEP), and SURPRISED her with a massive choreographed flash mob dance.

The Chicago crowd danced along to BEP’s ‘I’ve Gotta Feeling!’ and really put on a show!

Only Oprah could pull off something so AMAZING!

Why is it that a boy can say ONE line to us to make us feel so good, that we come RUNNING back?

Well, last night on ‘The Hills’ Justin decided to meet up with Audrina the night after he spent cooking dinner for Kristin. What a P-I-M-P.

Audrina had been standing her ground and started to move on from Justin until he said...

"I would never be able to say anything was better than Audrina Patridge in my life."

Playboy’s November issue is going to have my fav girl with blue hair MARGE SIMPSON on the cover.

Marge is showing off her bod in honor of the Simpson’s 20th Anniversary! Marge will get close and personal and strip down for a three-page spread for the magazine.

Something interesting... this is the FIRST time the magazine has ever featured a cartoon character on the cover. Congrats Marge!

Outfoxxxxxxed

Fox News is one of the biggest media outlets and it is their job to distribute the news accurately and without distortion, but the problem is that when a news outlet is very conservative and one sided there is a blur of objectivity. The documentary points out how most people for example will never get a chance to meet the candidates running for president, and find they’re getting all of their information from news networks such as Fox. How are members of society going to make a decision when the information given to them from Fox News is only representing the right wing views, and cutting interviews off when a guest disagrees with their political stance? This shows how much power these media outlets have, and how the people who are getting hurt are the public.

It is very important in journalism to report stories which are true, without changing the meaning by using creative editing to misrepresent something. Fox news disregards this totally as in the example of Jon Du Pre who was sent out to cover Ronald Regan’s birthday, and make this dull scene seem like there were hundreds of Americans coming out to be part of the celebration.
Throughout the documentary, the overall theme of interoffice memos was also shown. I was very surprised, to see the harshness, and strict guidelines the news team had to follow. It was evident that if you didn’t agree with this strongly conservative view, and your stories didn’t fit that mold then you and the story would be dismissed.

This documentary was a great eye opener for the public, everyone can now see how much influence and pull news media outlets like Fox News have. As their slogan reads “Fair and Balanced” it should really say “Right Winged and One Sided.” We as viewers need to be cautious of where and how we consume our information, and be aware of the blur of objectivity which media outlets like Fox News can serve us.

This Just In...

On Friday Khloe Kardashian is going to be the guest host on ‘The View’. I’m quite excited for her to get on that stage and for the ladies to get her to dish the dirt. I’m slightly surprised that ‘The View’ is picking these younger stars to be their guest host, but it seems to be a trend since just last week Heidi Pratt was on the stage.

What started off as a month long relationship with Lamar Odom is now a marriage ( NUTS!). So i’m sure Khole will have ALOT to chat about.

It Never Gets Old...

Danielle, seriously you are one of a kind. I don't know anyone over the age of 12 who would do this in front of a crowd of people other than crazy Dani. What really makes me laugh is that Danielle is the ONLY one who is dressed in full dance attire, and thinks her botox face is the hottest thing in the room.

If you watched the episode, Danielle and the gang get paired up to salsa and poor Albie (Caroline's oldest son, 22) gets to dance it up with Danielle. Well, Caroline who was on the sideline watching all of this was not impressed at ALL by the seductive moves Dani was pulling on her son. So, Danielle if you are reading this: RUN! These women do NOT like you, and never will.

The Show Must Go On!

Just in case you didn't hear enough about 'Jon and Kate Plus 8', there is new news buzzing around. On November 2, Jon Gosselin and his diamond stud earrings will NO LONGER be appearing on the show. The show will still air, but change its name to 'Kate Plus 8'.

There are even more rumors running around saying that this will be the last season of the show, due to their poor ratings since the couple spilt.

If this #1 Dad thinks this move will help get his name out of the buzz, think AGAIN!

If Only That Was True.

Last night I saw something that has NEVER happened to me before and probably hasn't happened to many girls either. On last night’s Entourage episode Turtle CRIES when his girlfriend Jamie is leaving at the airport to film a show for a couple months. First off, I know its TV but common guys are just not that emotional. But don't get me wrong... I would love a boy to cry over me ANY day!

How I Love Fake Smiles

Pony rides, jumping castles, face painting, carnival games, and a petting zoo. The New Jersey Housewives really know how to throw a party!

But of course when there is a party, there is drama. Danielle can you not get the hint? Dina does not want to be your friend girl! As you can see from the picture, Danielle is reading Dina's fake smile and one word answers as sincere. My favorite part was when Danielle says "We might end up really really tight!" Oh poor Danielle...

Looking forward to next week, the fighting that I KNOW will come from these two gets me very excited!

The Bitch Is Back.....

Kristin Cavallari is the newest member of The Hills Season 6 cast and is ready to make people forget Lauren was even on the show. This Laguna Beach star is not in high school any more and is ready to try something new. Our good old fav's like Lo, Aurdrina, Speidi and the rest of the gang will all be back to join Kristin for a season we will never forget.

The season Preimere is on September 29th at 10pm. Will everyone get along? Will there be drama? In the words of Justin Bobby..."Only time and truth will tell."
